A while back I noticed that the videos on my video page were all returning annoying Flash Player update warnings in Internet Explorer. These warnings will not go away, no matter how many times visitors to this site try to update Flash Player. However, the videos will still play if you click on them. Nonetheless, those stupid warning labels are unsightly and distracting, and I want to get rid of them.
After doing some research, I’ve discovered that the only way to get rid of the warnings is to reoutput the video files in the older flv format (not f4v) and reupload them. I’m in the process of doing this one video at a time. You should see the rash of warnings recede and eventually disappear altogether.
